Curtain Call Always Looks on the Bright Side of Life

"Curtain Call takes on the comedic classic Spamalot in this year’s Curtain Call Cabaret. Many of you may not have heard of Spamalot but I guarantee that you know the source material! Spamalot is based on the cult classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail. This wonderful musical uses the basic story from the movie and blends it with some new characters, songs, and gags that any audience is sure to love."

"Senior Brooke Bosiger is singing a comedic, brassy song originally sung by the leading lady in the show. Brooke says, “The Lady of the Lake is impactful and also hilarious so she’s a role I would LOVE to have one day. The Lady of the Lake is talking about her actual role in Spamalot and is breaking the fourth wall lamenting about how she hasn’t been used a lot in the show. She’s a HUGE diva and just wants attention.” Brooke is excited to be taking on this strong but silly role in this years cabaret."

"Evan Gough and Timmy McFadden will also be performing in songs from Spamalot. Gough describes his song as “hilariously competitive” while Timmy has taken a more sentimental approach to creating his character. Timmy will be singing the classic song “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life.” His connection with the song is helping him to being it to life. Timym says, “The song "Always Look On The Bright Side of Life" which I am performing has always been my favorite song from the show and I am so excited to finally be able to perform it. Since this is a Monty Python piece I try to stay as true to their style of comedy as possible. Patsy, King Arthur's loyal servant who sings this song, is one of the most fun characters from this show so I do my best to mirror his character in my deliverance.”"

"This performance will make you laugh until you can’t breathe! Be sure to come see all Curtain call has to offer this Friday and Saturday at 7:30 PM in the Dillard Theatre."
